About
Hello,
I’m Sian, founder of ‘Sian Ells Wellbeing’. I offer Counselling and Wellbeing sessions in the Conwy Valley and surrounding area in North Wales.
Sessions can be indoors or outdoors from 50 minutes to full days. I can offer sessions in Welsh and English. I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
I aim to ensure that you feel comfortable accessing and attending Counselling and Wellbeing sessions.

Why Counselling and Wellbeing work?
I decided to train and become a Counselling and Wellbeing practitioner because Counselling, Wellbeing and the great outdoors, got me through huge loss and some very difficult times in my life.
With this came feeling lost myself. Counselling and Wellbeing enabled me to move forward from this, allowing for growth and change. I got to know myself better, be more me and be more content in life. Something clicked and I felt on the right path.
I had also worked for a local authority for 20 years and it didn’t feel right anymore. I needed to do what I needed to do, which was to follow the Counselling and Wellbeing path that was becoming clearer in front of me. I haven’t looked back.
As a result I offer the following Counselling and Wellbeing services:
- In-person and online counselling
- Walk and Talk counselling
- Forest bathing wellbeing sessions. These are mindful sessions, slowing down and using our senses in nature for our wellbeing
Feel free to click on the links to find out more about each one.
I am particularly interested in how the outdoors and nature can benefit our wellbeing and healing, from feeling better to the scientific evidence behind this.
Combining therapy with exercise to tuning into our senses and connecting mindfully with nature and being creative are some examples.
It is great to immerse ourselves in the outdoors but we can adapt sessions to gain the benefits of nature even when indoors. We are all individuals and sessions can be tailored to you.
Group work
I am currently working on an exciting new project called Creativity in Nature. I have written and developed the Wellbeing and Counselling program working in partnership for a local community group. The program combines the benefits of being in nature, being mindful and creative through Forest Bathing. We aim to make counselling more accessible through linking this optional offer to the wellbeing sessions. We have offered individual sessions based on art, environmental art, sound and the written word. We are also offering a longer 6 week course. The feedback has been very positive with the program being reviewed and continually evolving as required.

I love being outdoors and I love being creative and thinking outside of the box. From walking to swimming, camping and sitting around the fire, to beach yoga or watching my teenager play rugby. Snowdonia is a great place to be.
